With that price range I would grab a Nvidia GTX 570. If you have the ability to go SLI with your rig then down the road you could throw in another when prices drop more and newer games start stressing that too much. But for now I would go with 1 modern card, with all the latest features, rather than 2 older tech cards for a bit of a speed boost.

The 570 will prob struggle to play Battlefield 3 at very high resolutions, but it should do well for most games.

If you're playing at that resolution why bother upgrading? Until you need it I would do an SLI nVidia setup but for now seems you're a okay (unless you want to spend the $$$).

At that res according to a [H] write up you should get 60fps or so with good graphics settings.

Look here for the settings and numbers for 1920x1200: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/11/ ... q_review/3

gonna need a quad core CPU to really rock BF3 as far as i have read, plus you CPU may hold back the latest cards as well.

i haven't got BF3 yet because i know my 4 year old system will struggle to play at 1920 x 1200 :(

Yeah I've got a 570 Super clocked version from eVGA..should be plenty to handle BF3 as it does me great with Crysis2 - running a Quad 9300 cpu to, the drivers nvidia have out now seem to do pretty good for optimizing with various new games.
