Msi wind u123

Post by slacker361 »

Well I bought it, it seems like a nice netbook so far. I found out today right before the UPS man dropped it off, that you can OC these machines with a new bios upgrade. HMMM so i go to MSI website to update the bios and hmm it says that i have the current bios , but when I click the Fn+f10 it doesn't oc the machine like it is suppose to.

any body help me with this one, is it just the msi wind 100 that does this OC or is it all MSI wind ?

thanks

U123 not overclocking

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the same problem you describe, Mine won't go into overclock either and it does not show the DOC percentage screen either when in bios setup

U123 not overclocking

Post by n8xbd »

I've just discovered more. The MSI site now lists the Function + F10 as being the battery saver and when I press it with out AC power it indeed turns battery logos on and off now instead of the overclock. However I can still go into teh bios and turn intel speed step on and off, it just does not show doc percentage and at this point no known way of turning it on and off from the keypad. I'll keep experimenting.
