Just got one of these in for a co-worker; I ordered one myself last night for work in the field.
PROS
Quiet
Bright screen
Very speedy, even at the base config (1.8 C2D, 2 GB RAM, 5400 RPM HDD)
Fairly solid metal-feeling chassis
Standard slot-load DVD burner
Power, VGA, and ethernet are all on the back and not the sides
9-cell battery and compartment has no wiggle, very solid connection
CONS
Glossy lid and sides, kinda dumb considering the rest of it is matte black
A LOT of flex in the keyboard, bad for "hard typers" like myself
USB and Firewire ports only on the sides, close to your hands
Speakers get good and loud, but seem to distort at default volume level
Touchpad and power buttons cheap and flimsy
I got mine really cheap and it's just for input into Excel and web research, so it'll do, but the keyboard is really mushy. An even cheaper Inspiron we have here has a much more solid construction overall.

too much $$ for what that is..plus ya should really just make a thread in the classified section instead of trying to sell one on his review thread

i hear u ...but like i said i can care less about whatever happens with it...just thought it was odd that i seen and was talking about this dell at the same time..sorry if i offended anyone...didnt mean to at all.
