2 out of 4 credit cards paid off!

Post by Brent »

w00t! feels really good, got 2 of my 4 credit cards paid off, in fact I was able to just pay one off and go ahead and cancel it completely, so now I've got 2 left to pay off, one is doable in a short amount of time and then I can cancel it, leaving me with 2, the other will take quite a while, but I'll work on it

all this is in preperation for my move, I want to move on a clean slate

When you get that tax refund they are working on you might be able to help or pay out the rest in full! :thumb:

Zero of 4 paid off. :rotfl: I do plan on paying off two of them that have a little higher APR after I move and get my return. First I will have to get new living room furniture, since I am leaving ours here with my fiancee's mom.

1 card and a small balance... I refuse to have more cards in my wallet making it fat and uncomfortable

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).

Don't close all of your accounts at once. It's important to have open, unused credit to keep your score high and it's also important to have long-standing accounts marked in good standing.

Yep, I will still have 2 open, until I move, I just want to get them paid off so I have no debt, clean slate.

Working on killing mine as well. Just filed my Tax Return, that will literally cut my credit card debt in half. Then it should be gone by the middle of the year at worse.

Congrats! BTW be careful during the move, my cards were pretty much non existant (like 50 a month and enough in the bank to pay them off if need be), until i moved. The little things add up FAST! :(

Am pissed.

Had someone try a $2100 charge in Las Vegas with a fake copy of my main credit card. Had it canceled, new one shipped. 2 weeks ago...

Called yesterday and checked that it had been mailed and was told the ******* who handled my call closed the card incorrectly, so the system didn't auto-prompt for a new card. Nor did the ******* prompt for a new card.

So they're 2-daying me a new one, should get it tomorrow at work :thumb:

Only card with cash points

Otherwise once I get the replacement: 3 open, 3 paid off.
