Hey guys, since another member of the family has found out about torrents and all the other crap the internet has been going very slow for the rest of us.

How can I set up some kind of QOS system?

Netgear WGR614 v7

DHCP OFF

Mode g only
Wireless AP ON
Broadcast Name OFF
Mac address filtering ON.

Since that is a member of the family. Get him or her to set limits in the torrent programs such that torrents do not choke up the upload bandwidth and open too many connections, overwhelming the router:

Thanks guys, but is there anyway to do this from the router?

I might have to do that trogers, but for now I would like to try from the router if possible.

Reset the present router to factory default (by pressing the small reset button at its rear for 10 seconds), thus disabling all port forward, and change the password so that the router cannot be accessed to port forward.

Password all set, no forwarding for ports UNCP turned off yet 90% of programs still work...
