I doubt we qualify for the community group discount :nope:

But if we had 15 to go... then yeah we'd be a group... for the regular group discount.

and WTF is with the Field site...

the link I posted says Gold Pass...yadda yadda...includes Tut ... for $25.

You link says no... I looked at the pdf of the group rates breakdown.

It will require a call to clarify.

and- I dunno if Michigan and Ohio seceded from the Midwest or what...

Time to give them a bump...

I was in the City tonite and I happened to pass by a cool Chicago landmark.

The Admiral Theatre. :rotfl:

I was going to post a link- but no point in that, it'll get pulled by the first mod who happens by. :rotfl:

I had to settle for a good history of the Admiral w/ a pic, link

Google up Admiral Theatre Chicago... and go to their site. Must be 18 :rotfl:

Check out the "girls" link on the left nav bar.... cursor over them beauties and each one has her own lil page w/ more poppin up pics. :p

In all the years I lived in the City, and I lived within walking distance of the Admiral for numerous years, I passed it countless times, but have never been inside. To me, no point in only being able to look. May as well just pick up a pron mag and a six pack. :rotfl:

And I really don't give a sh*t about the dancing careers of porn stars. :rotfl:

arrrgh!

sorry guys, I haven't forgotten about this.

I've been having incredible problems w/ my landlady for the past few weeks, and on Sat. it escalated to the point where I decided to move ASAP, I can't take anymore of her bs. I've been thinking about posting a rant...lol

Anyway, I don't know where I'll be living yet lol. I want to do the meeting, and beleive it or not I've got my money set aside for it.

I sent my resume to 3 places yesterday, 2 called me today. I have 1 interview tomorrow that will be an all day ordeal for me w/ public trans; then another closer to home Thurs. in the am. Most likely I'll come away w/ at least one offer, my resume is great at opening doors for me ;)

I'm trying to stay in my Dad's area. I have 5 weeks of unemployment left, so I figured this coming 2 weeks I'll look local, except I now expanded the search (and it's already paid off w/ interviews)... and then only if need be, in the 2 weeks after next, ... find a job in the City. That will not be a problem, other than I'd have to move back to the City.

Anway, I may be living in a motel again by the time our Tut thing happens, that's all. :p

A date needs to be decided.

Or I will flip a coin myself- either the 15th or 22nd.

I have a few questions for the museum once we decide a date. And hopefully our date is available. I'll sh*t if this all too late

I want to be sure that if we buy our tickets separately... that we can all get in together at the same time and all.

well... Izzo and bigmo66 were interested, I'd like to hear from them...

:p

Regarding the dates, ect. All works for me. Just keep me updated and I'll be there! Once we set a date, we'll set up another for grabbing the tickets. :thumb:

Thanks, and yups, it'll work out one way or another. This is so typical of my luck....

I'll flip a coin for the date fri morn unless someone has a problem w/ those 2 dates and posts here. I'll call the museum at that time and post whatever info I have.

:)

I'll just be coming up for the day. Going to decide if by train or by car. Dunno if I want to mess with the Ryan fiasco. Actually, I know it would be cheaper by train if you consider gas prices + parking.

I would think the Amtrak would be cheaper overall on gas.. I was checking prices last week from UnionStation in Chicago to Mendota, IL and roundtrip was $22.00 ... Considering it would cost me $40.00/tank to fill up nowadays :irate: thats a better deal....

I priced a ticket from Champaign to Chicago for July 22nd and it was $45. Arrives in Chicago just after 9am and I depart around 4pm. Or I could leave at 8pm (City of New Orleans) and it would be a total of $66 roundtrip. Either way, it would be cheaper to take the train rather than $40 for gas and an additional $30 or more for parking all day, then the 2 1/2 hour drive each way. I'd probably take the 8pm train back to leave room for more time to hang out, grab a early dinner / late lunch type of thing, ect.

Just need a group decision on a date...... :D :thumb:

I apologize for my absence folks.

At 7:30 a.m. Friday, as I was carrying my toolbox out of the house, my nutcase landlady started a bunch of bs... and my dad was there to get a load of her bs too. Got me shaking mad...

Between her bs, the new job, chores at my dad's, and favors for my friends... this is my first time back to SG since last week. I've been getting home pretty late and going straight to bed after eating- except for today.

Tickets for either date shouldn't be a problem- they're $34. That includes Tut and General Admission.

link
clicky on July and then pick a date and hit the buy tickets. There are entry times...

I got commandeered twice as soon as I got done taking my bike to the train station in my new job's town fri lol. Ended up fri getting tied up prepping my bud Luis' yard for his youngest son's bd party, stayed over til sat eve.

btw, I had a new electrical problem at Luis' house... Floodlights not working... turned out that the center contact tabs had gotten smashed down somehow and there was no contact. LMAO! I told my bud to take it easy when he changes the bulbs. Also, replaced a blown GFI that was taking out all the outdoor outlets. Been like that over a year they said. geez...

I came out of the weekend w/ a new Belkin KVM OmniView SE Plus, new Belkin Ultra ATA/133 card (both boxed!), 100 blank Verbatim CD's, and 2 fishing rod/reel combos- for $30 from a bud of Luis. And dude w/ the computer equipment hookup wants me to install 512Mb of RAM this weekend- offered me $50! 'course I can't charge him that much... dude does not know anything about working about computers, he just gets that stuff from another friend to sell. I got a special price thanks to my bud Luis.

Got my hands full at work too. Machines are earlier Heidenhain controllers, prolly the most user un-friendly control on the market. Never seen one before, and of course that's all they have. But this was discussed at my hiring, so there's n/p, it's understood that I have to learn to program the control.

I'm proficient on 25 types of controls (lol, I just counted 'em off my resume) and these Heidenhain are mofos to work with. Once you know how to program it I suppose they're quick to program. They're used primarily on ultra high speed CNC machine tools. These spindles on the vertical machining centers I'm working on do 24,000 RPM, HSK stuff. Great machines, but the controllers on them suck imho.

I may have troubles here on the 1st, the nutcase told me last week to move out by June 30. I ain't waiving my rights to full notice just cause she's a loon. If she tries anything stupid she'll find herself in court quicker than sh*t.

But I'm not gonna let anything stop me from going to the meet.

So I don't care what date and time. How about if you guys (and gal) post up?
