Cable owns DSL in my area. 768/128k DSL for 50 bucks a month...gotta be 13 K from telco. Cable= 34 a month. 3-5 mbit downloads [bitch!], 128k uploads however.
Man I like my Cable even though I'm switching in December. Rogers@home package is Download=5.6mb/upload=3.1mb and I'm alright with those speeds but for some reason most of the time I get real slow speeds because I think im too far away from my CO and also there is 193 people on my node!! lol so im going with LOOK ultrafast 2 wireless internet. 3mbit/1mbit and plus no one will relly switch to this isp because everyone where i live IS @HOME crazy!!.Dsl i say get's slow speeds but you get constant flow which I would like with alot of banwidth with d/ling and up/ing

Now Lets get straight to the point, In Some area's Cable is better then DSL. In other Area's DSL is better then Cable. Just because one ISP sucks it doesn't mean all Connections suck..

I get 400KB/sec downloads that sure seems faster then your maxmium of 187KB. I get 40ms ping on non local servers. I get a static ip. I only pay 45/month and some months I don't pay anything for reffering other people to @home. I AM BETTER THEN YOU IN EVERY WAY

Your ISP and location are factors to decide if cable or DSL is better. Some areas have sh*tty DSL service and other have sh*itty cable service.

Why Dont You Just Kill yerself? My Cable KIKS ASS!! OOL is the best broadband for under t3 cost. Its 10 M/bit down and 1 M/bit up. I am always upping at least 117k to 128k even ask ssjDoh. And my average d/l is roughly 650 k/byte +. You a flamer if you think cable sux. Get yer facts straight 1st then bitch l8er. The Dsl is my area is horrid. my friend tweaked the sh*t outta his dsl from Verizon and only gets on average 40 k/byte, and he pays $49.95. For OOl i pay $29.95 and the tech is superb. Cable has gone down 3 times. The 1st two times it was back up within 1 hour. And the othe time the lines were cut for 1 mile and that was taken care of in 4 1/2 hours. So just think b4 u speak flamer. FLAME ON BOYZ!
Guys Guys.. Stop fighting.. Cable and DSL is faster in diffrent ways.. There's DSL ISP's faster then cable and there's Cable services faster then DSL..
So just keep it as that because this will never get solved.. in Some ereas its faster then others,
