Board is alive again! :lol
Both of them were done late night.
The problem we're having is speed!
I've never been able to get above 190 kb/sec morning or night.
Any suggestion?
We have the Rwin set at 332880

hummmm hers was about the same and we haven't tweaked hers.
and she's only running 64 megs of rams
I'm not making any changes on hers till we know for sure where the problem is.
calling cable people and going back to my pc.
Back in a short

 It does not matter If hers is tweaked or not, it should be faster, you have a cable problem somewhere sir and I suggest you call those nice people at RR and say fix it, chop-chop, fix it now and also get credit for all the days you had such slow speeds, you can play with it all you want Suh, but you have got to get cable people out there, also do not tell them you have speed patch on as they want you to use their crappy software.

Do you own your own modem or does RR, it might be the problem

Not trying to start a fight lobo(know we got going last time) but the modem shouldnt be the issue. I have the lan city and sit pretty at 600KB in peak times and MUCH higher at nights.

Buggyman, u have cable, ooops i was wrong then, sorry... is ur NODE capped at 500, liek are there 500 on it, cuz if so then u might be screwed, but still u should get more speed out of it than u are, just not that much more :(

YARDofSTUF,
Here's the deal.
I have a 2/400 cpu processor
128 megs of rams
3 GB harddrive
Using win/98
using external F=MA ethernet adapter on USB port.
Lancity modem
IE 5.5 Browser
AT&T Broadband (former media one) with RR service.
Calls to tech and they say I can get UP to 1.5 MB download and UP to 300 upload.
They cap nodes at 500
just found out they use fregancy 741
nobody knows the band widh.
I've done test downloads within the network with no differant in the speeds.
BUT
Now they can't guarentee more than 110KBdownload. last time it was 200KB/sec download.
I've notice I get the upload speed no problem.
But the download is a joke! :D
any suggestions?
