Windows update fuxed up?

anyone else having problems with windows update?

im updating a fresh install of XP and on certain updates itll say doesnt have a digital signature or just fail to install. these are updates like Direct X 9 and what not, so how the hell does it not have a microsoft digital signature.

and

if it doesnt, why the hell are they posting it on there?

Yeah, it still is working here for me...just updated a couple of things on this computer...

It was really bad on the weekend. I was at a clients trying to get thier criticals, and just kept freezing up waiting just after I agreed to the terms page.

Got on ok today at another clients though, and got everything updated for a brand new Dell system. It was slower than usual, but not too bad.

I've noticed today that some sites, or routers are being a pain. Probably depends where you're being routed through.
