board looks good. my problems with it are alot like the asus, with those sideways ide channels. also that power connector is really cramped for space!

i do like the colors and that nb fan tho...

Yeah, I have no clue what's up with the IDE channels. They could have easily put the IDEs wher the floppy connector is and switch the two.

According to the manual, you can run the Dual DDR with the RAM pairs on either DIMM 1/DIMM 3 or DIMM 2/DIMM 4, so the cramped connector might not be a problem.

BTW, the only sideways IDE on the ASUS board is the one RAID connector.

well it is a problem to me cuz if u try to unplug it adn it sticks, so ya pull harder and then maybe hit the ram chip or the capacitors or something. just think it needs a bit more room, cuz now u gotta be a bit more careful.

so when are u gonna get the $400 gigabyte canterwood board? lol

Never...I'm an ABIT and ASUS man now...Gigabyte is loaded with features, but overclocking and tweaking has always been a pain with their BIOSes.

I don't agree about gig's being a pain OC, I don't use EasyTune But it is about the simplest thing to use for OCing, But the best thing about gigabyte is they always put alot of time in on there boards before they release them. Always top notch. :)

no board is really tough to oc if it has teh ability, but with gigabyte boards it does seem u dont get quiet as much as with others. maybe tehy put too much time into options and features and not enough into support for overclockers.

Thats True, But one thing is Gig's need and want top notch memory, to really open the throttle. On there site you can view the exact types of memory that they recommend and tested that specific board with. And they hate mixed memory. But even newb's can get the boards to rock, Easy Tune 4 lets you hike all the OC settings and test them to see if it will be stable and wht mHz the CPU and Mem will run, Then restart and boom it's there. Pretty Easy. :) No fun like that though.

Honestly, they're only slightly higher than the ones I got on the ASUS board, and I didn't even want to do screencaps of it all.

The memory scores got better on the overclocks, but honestly not by much. Stability was on par with the ASUS board at 223 FSB.
