Nexland to be acquired by Symantec

Post by YeOldeStonecat »

I'm guessing this is already known by some of you, I saw it posted in the hardware forum, but if you visit Nexlands or Symantec's website, or receive any newsletter from either, you'll see that Symantec will be acquiring Nexland.

I'm thinking it's all good. Symantec has resold Nexlands routers for years, I run one at the office, the model 200R.

Symantec is agressively getting into the hardware firewall and VPN market, and this to me is a good move for both sides.

It is not official, so it's only a letter of intent it is not 100% and won't be for months if it goes through it's still pending board approval on both sides.
