How do I remove a glued on heatsink connected to my Nvidia MX Card???

very gentle brute strenght lol

its damn easy to break it and if ur replacing it with another heat sink u really dont want all that glue on there, dunno what u use to take it off other than sand paper, and that only gets u so close.

i need to know too
i read somewhere to put it in the freezer for half hour and gently pry it off with a screwdriver

I heard either play a game (like Q3) for a while until it gets warm/soft so its easy to get off or do the freezer thing.

Heres what you do:

Take and old AOL CD or some other CD you don't need, and a relatively sharp knife. Place knife between heatsink and chip, with the CD supporting the knife, so the knife won't damage the chip, then just pry with the knife, and the HS should pop off.

Be warned tho, removing the HS voids your warrenty, but who cares, i've fuked around with my VD3 a million times, i even dropped it a few times, LOL and it still works :)
