Can someone please inform me how to restore
the settings changed by mtupatch98 (prior to the current updated patch, it was downloaded
from this site on 10/23/00)?
Unlike the majority of you, I'm not an advanced user. If given clearly detailed steps, however, I'm pretty sure I could follow them.

On this page is a file 9x default file this will return your registry to its default settings.. http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_patches.shtml
Did you have a problem with the patch its usually pretty stable and works..
If you installed it to your operating system without doing the rest of the settings you may have seen no improvment..
Te aditional files are the Vtcp.386 fix that comes from Microsoft. The other that everyone uses is the Speedguide Web Tweak this speeds up surfing in IE...
Anyway you have the info above to set it back sorry it hasn't worked out.. If you need help with it there is plenty here...
