Haven't folded in a long time since my old AMD X2 4400+ started struggling with WUs and GPU cpres started to get used. But now I have an i7 with an AMD 6770 graphics card so I decided to give it a try again.
Running the version 6 console on a single core of the i7 as I can let it max out the core and it stays at about idle temps, and then running version 7 using the GPU when I'm not making use of it. Looks like I'll be able to complete 1 WU on the cpu and 2-3 on the GPU per day.
So anyone planning to pass me better think again, or add on some systems.
This rig is doing me well. Didnt know what to expect as I've heard Nvidia cards fold better than AMD cards, but this 6770 is doing a good job. Temps stay under 55 C as well. Might let it run 24/7, not sure yet.
EDIT: I'm finally on your page in the overtake section.
I really love how this v7 client works. As the WU is finishing up it downloads another so its ready to go as soon as the current one is done, and sends the finished unit while its already working on the next.
