SG port database, how updated

Post by beerguzzle »

Hi, newly registered to SG, but I have used the port guide database for ages, very useful. How is this updated? No clue in the FAQ. My reason for asking: port 10020 does not mention Proofpoint Email protection services. Proofpoint uses 10020 tcp as the access to their SaaS servers instead of the usual 443 for web services. It would be nice if the port guide mentioned this.

Thanks for the feedback, will verify this and add it.

The database was started with a few source databases, and it has been updated manually for years. There is a person that researches and adds ports info weekly. We also update based on feedback from users, mainly from the comments section on port pages.
