I have a Asus A7V333 MOBO and I think I solved the problem.

Well its shows it on bios, disk mangement as 30GB, so im gonna go ahead and try the Bios update. Any other solutions welcome.

*I just realized I have the latest Bios.

So I bought a new 300GB Maxtor and windows Xp seems to only recognize 30gbs of the 300gbs! I installed the latest service packs(service pack 2) I even formatted the drive and installed windows on it but it still won't recognize more than 30gbs.
