IP/Submask

I am trying to setup an Socks Proxy.
I want to not be able go to certian IPs.

For example: 100.100.100.0 to 150.150.150.255

I have to do this as a IP/Submask.

Would I be right to put in 100.100.100.0/205.205.205.0?

If I put in 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 does that mean any IP?

I don't think so. When on half mode your connection can not send and recieve at same time. That is why collisions occur. In full mode you can send and recieve at same time.

For a simple test swap cables and see if it makes a difference. You would be surprised how a cable can cause problems, but yet seems to be okay.

Not a whole lot of setting to change.

Link Speed/Duplex Mode = 10 Half Mode
Buffer Receive Size = 64K bytes

Does our modem work at 10 Full or 100 Full?

Full duplex will improve throughtput and reduce errors. It prevents packet colisions when NIC is trying to send and recieve at the same time ...

There is a section that tells you what processes you are most like not going to be using. Word for the wise though, read about them. You might want something to remain on, even though they say you do not need it.

Did you convert FAT32 to NTFS or did you format the drive with NTFS and install?

Where are the partitions? NTFS on the inside and FAT32 on the outside?

Have you benched you hard drive / partitions, with a utility program such as HDTach?
