i'm using Bulletproof FTP (formerly Gene6 or G6)... i don't see the Passive Mode option available in this program. i'm sure someone else has attempted and succeeded to set up an FTP while using a LinkSys Router?

I use a Linksys Router with Optimum Online Cable, and I was wondering how to set up the router for my 2nd computer hooked up to an FTP? It has a firewall, so I need to expose the IP of my 2nd computer ... if you know what I'm talking about. So how can I allow people to connect to the IP of my 2nd ...

ahh i called them and i got it fixed! but thank u bkuhl for the help, u set me on the right path, cuz the guy didn't really help me out... i had to upgrade my firmware, and then i remembered the stuff u said and tried everything and it worked out! so thank u so much, i really appreciate it!

Bkuhl if you're there... Maybe it has something to do with the Network TCP/IP properties? In Control Panel, Network, TCP/IP Properties, can you tell me what info to put? Do I put anything for Gateway, DNS, etc? I need to find out what's wrong with this! If anyone could please help me out it would be ...

yes, i do. the cable is going to the WAN link on the router, and the 1st input thing is going to the computer. the 2nd one is going to my other computer. i don't see what the problem is?

yes, i'm hooked up properly, because when i unhook the cable connection from the router, my cable works fine on the main computer. i just need to know how to get it on my other computer, too...

oh but the IP is different everytime...
so what do I do? i did the obtain IP automatically, disabled the login... now what?

Also, when I go into the Status tab, after I released and renewed everything, shouldn't the WAN info be in there? Instead it just shows all 0's for everything, even though I pressed the Obtain IP Address Automatically. I know the IP that OOL has assigned to my computer, shouldn't I just fill it in ...
