Well, I know a major part of the issue now. Here is a ping test to Google.com while on a wired connection, same computer:

Pinging google.com [74.125.228.7] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 74.125.228.7: bytes=32 time=20ms TTL=57
Reply from 74.125.228.7: bytes=32 time=21ms TTL=57
Reply from 74.125 ...

For the past week to two weeks I've been having an issue with ping, the CMD ping should explain itself:

Pinging google.com [74.125.228.8] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 74.125.228.8: bytes=32 time=83ms TTL=57
Reply from 74.125.228.8: bytes=32 time=615ms TTL=57
Reply from 74.125.228.8: bytes=32 ...
