AVG is the best free antivirus. I used it frequently to secure my windows XP. However, now i am using Windows 7 and Security essential is working fine.

With quite a few switches, you can install access points but all things should be of better quality. My opinion is, try avoiding TP-link and D-link stuff and get the switches, routers and access points of Linksys. I had very good experience with Linksys.
