I am saying just that: I had to use PowerShell to enable the missing values. It could be an issue on my end, however, because I've used this little program for years without any issues. I just reset Windows 10, so I'll try optimizing again and overlook the "blank" values for now.

The values that are "blank" are not read at program start (since they may be set differently for different network adapters on the system).

We changed the TCP Optimizer behavior with version 4.0.3 to show blanks instead of "default" for values that are not read at program start.

I have a similar issue with Windows 10. I click Optimal and Apply, and then find the following values blank.

RSS
RSC
DCA
ECN Capability
Checksum Offloading
TCP Chimney Offload

Program run as Administrator and I reboot between each test.

Oh c'mon. It doesn't improve performance in any way - I have tested it in a variety of situations. It works well for XP and Vista (somewhat) but beyond that it accomplishes nothing. Yes it does "screw things up". Every time I have used it with 7 or 8 it slows everything down. I do realize that this ...

Then what's the point of the tool? If nobody is supposed to tweak Windows 7, then the download page should be ammended to say "XP only". Like I always say, "If it ain't broke, tweak it!"

The TCP Optimizer DOES NOT work with Windows 8. Half of the options are missing and those that are there do not stick. I have tried Administrator Mode and Compatibility Mode (Windows 7 and Windows Vista) as well. When using Compatibility Mode, more ...
