I already have two IP address. Currently I have two computers, each with their own IP, running to a hub then to my cable modem.

I probaly wont do what I asked about, its just somthing I had on my mind :)

I dont see how a diffrent OS would make a diffrence, it all goes through the same procces, I just upgraded my OS from Win ME to Win XP Pro and I havent seen any problems with a BB connection.

If I split my cable line and and put a cable modem on both ends will both of them have their own 15K upload cap, or will the cap be split also?

I know Uncapping is out of the question so is there any way to make uploads go faster? I'm on the @Home network through ATT. :confused:

Most of the time when your activity light is blinking it could just be some software on you computer doing somthing behind your back. Mine also blinks when I'm not doing anything, when I looked into it more I found out that lots of people are actualy pinging/scanning my computer for open ports ...
