Hi again,

I found the AGP boot sequence in my bios. It was set on pci slot as 1st...I changed it to AGP. The nasty problem still persists!

Jon,

I am looking as we speak to see if I can find documentation telling me if this board is 1.0 or 2.0 AGP compatable. Nothing that I've read so far gives ...

Hi and thanks for the replies,

i removed the old card from device manager if that is what you are talking about. It was a ATI All in Wonder Pro 8mb.

I do not see anything in my bios that will allow the AGP to be set as 1st bootable on video. I have an AGP aperature size...it is on 128.

Nvidia GeForce 2 Video Card...Help!

Lo Gents,

I recently purchased a Nvidia Geforce 2 video card. The main problem is that the card freezes up the computer. I mainly see the freezes in Internet Explorer, but it has also done it on various other running programs and even on the desktop. I have solved the issue by sliding my graphic ...

MnoSteele...multiple nic idea

Hi Mr. Steele,

What advantage, if any, would there be in connecting my cable modem to a router and then coming off my router to two nic cards in the puter. I have purchased an additional IP address. Could both nics somehow be binded the the TCpip and AFD sys files?

Just a idea that I have been ...

Hi mate,

Just a quick thought......since you have replaced ribbon to floppy make sure the red outline of ribbon.....it has a red streak down one side is parallel to the power supply connector. If it is not connected in this manner the drive will not register nor install.

So why even tweak a broadband connection at all on xp, nt, or 2000? Would a 3mb cap also give you close to 100% of meeting it with no tweaks?

The ntfs protocol will definately slow down all processes compared to the FAT32. The only way to run a ntfs, while at the same time desiring the most advantageous tweaked network is to run a ramdrive with tcpip and afd sys files loaded on it.

First off, you have to find the MAC address of your cable modem. This can be done a couple ways, and is different with certain operating systems.

a) for Windows 9x, go to Start / Run / and type "winipcfg". In the "Adapter Address" field is your MAC address.

b) for Windows 2000/XP, go to Start ...
