from double checking things on setting it up on a new machine I hadn't set it up on previously I can say yes it works, did you use 192.168.0.250 ? is the modem handshaking but not connecting ? we need a few more details to help

thanks for the tip. although the thing I ran into is the S registers where the modem S0 regester was not set to answer the incoming call, very corectable
