Wireless speed does not increase with provisioned speed?

The wireless speed remains 30.1 Mbps after increasing the provisioned speed from 25 Mbps to 150 Mbps, Comcast.

Can I expect only 30 Mbps with 802.11n? What could be throttling it?

Tested at speedtest.net firewall off
The wired speed through the router increased from 30.1 to 141 Mbps which is ...

any solution to comcast dropping connection?

Comcast drops the connection very regularly when I am downloading torrents or watching Hulu.com. It is not random, it is very regular when I look at a utorrent speed map. About every 20 minutes, very dependably

I used to have a workaround for Windows, some setting, but I forgot what it was. It was ...

This is how wifi n works:
As soon as a g adapter connects the access point drops down to g mode for all adapters and stays in g mode until the g adapter(s) disconnect. I cannot operate in both g and n at the same time.

Is that true for all wireless n routers? I thought some had the ability to ...

Thank you, moving the wireless router was the answer. Wired was about 8 times faster than wireless. So I will run cat 5 to select locations and re-position the router

hardwired: 6500 to 8000 kbps

wireless and within 2 meters: about 4000 kbps

Oh.

The cable and cat5 is not coiled because it is cut to length. But the modem and router is near the house electrical panel and every single power cable. Tomorrow I'll move the cable modem and router and re-test.
