Recently, everything I tried to download would time out. Like I would be downloading a 100 mb file, i'd go to do something else, come back and it stopped downloading and i'd have to restart. Well, I tried opening ports, didn't work. I opened the right ports for the game. I'd love to see if i'm doing something wrong. I don't want to find out I can't host servers.

Ok, how do I host server's through a d-link EBR-2310 router? It uses a wired connection. Also, I tried opening some ports on it but....it did not work, my server does not show on the game i'm trying to play. Thanks in advance!

Well, I kind of meant something along the lines of dynamic ip with your router. How do you configure your router to have dynamic ip? My router type is EBR-2310.

Can you tell me any other firewall or something good with a firewall besides comodo because that lags the crap out of me when im playing my games?

One more thing, will the active virus shield still protect me if I exit the application because my games get choppy with that on?

Also will I get tons of viruses if I even remove my firewall and mcafee for a few to install the few you suggested? One more thing, why didn't mcafee detect those viruses and how good are these other ones you suggested?

I use opera because internet explorer is slow.I do p2p file sharing so that was it I bet.Well I thought anti virus would protect me from everything, if not it should. Also I use mcafee as a virus protection program.

Ok this is getting very annoying, I keep getting a system alert popup telling me my computer is infected with a virus when its not.I have a feeling that the system alert is a virus waiting to be clicked so does anyone know a tool that can get rid of this system alert popup? Thanks in advance.

Well it got faster but its still not using 8 mb to download things, only 1.86-3.87 mb as far as I saw.

Um didn't tcp optimizer raise my download speeds, and thats why its 8 mb and not 6?

Well I hope firefox fixes this soon, I tried IE and its download speeds go from 926 kbs to 2.3 mbs.This was worse before, thanks trogers!
