Can someone help me please...when i start my computer up with the x64 cd to format my HD it just boots up normally straight into windows xp and starts my computer up again..for some reasno it wont let me boot it off the x64 cd..and when i try to run the cd straight off my d drive it says

ahh...well would i have to make a partition then ...because i want to be able to keep all my files on here...and then transfer all the crap from xp pro to x64 when i get it installed.

problem fixed...i came home from my friends house and put back the on board sound to Auto in the bios and it works fine now..i really appreciate all of your help mnosteele52, and YeOldeStonecat...

well i also disabled my on board sound previously can that be a problem...aswell as i didnt install SP2 i just use XP Pro...thank you once again for your help only thing on my PCI Slot is my Sound Card and i have my Video Card in PCI-E thats all

dont know atm. my friend is doing all the graphic work and what not im just doing the css part...we want to make a site to the extent of providing people layouts, banners, and site...ect. i dont know nothing he knows it all but agreed to make a site if i learn css to do the coding part of it.

well either your display driver is bad....and if that isnt then your video card is bad...

ehh could be a ram issue maybe one of your sticks is defective...or you might not have enough ram...thats just a thought though...if you have more then one stick of ram try just running with just one stick in at a time and see if that works...good luck

if he downloads bit comet he can limit the bandwidth so when you play he can cap it at a lower speed and you wont lag or have any spikes during gameplay.
