I'm back

Ok, I'm back, on another computer, though.

I seemed to solve the problem. I installed the SP1 for winXP and now it shows up as 152gb.

I'd rather the 152gb over the 127gb so...

But now I think I'm gonna have to format it because my internet doesn't work for it now, and I can't install OR uninstall ...

[21:36] <buffoon> ?
[21:36] <FFFire> wont see any HD bigger than 137gb
[21:36] <buffoon> nod
[21:36] <FFFire> and if the drive is bigger
[21:36] <FFFire> it'll see it as only 137gb or smaller

New HD not showing proper capacity!

Ok, I got a new HD, 160gb and am using it as my main slave to my 13gb drive.

I know, but I just did a format etc. so I'm gonna use it as the slave.

The problem is, it only shows up as 127gb... eventhough I paid for 160gb.

Is this normal or is this drive defective?

I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I noticed on the last day, that my burner was no longer recognized, not even by the BIOS at startup.

So I install some 'cd burner' fix from Windowsupdate and BOOM! my other ...

i had to really look for it. in the folders option, there was a check box that said, 'show windows protected files' so i checked that.

it was located in C:\undo

i got back about 400mb

anyone know any thing else i can delete to free up space?

I did that scandisk with both boxes checked and it said that 1gb was in hidden files.

SO that's where my missing space is... BUT i set it so that windows shows ALL files even hidden and system files and STILL can't find it.

please help
