You can plug the AT supplied by your VoIP provider into a phone jack. Since phones are wired in parallel, it will work with all of your phones. Read my post here.

1) If you play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, do not install the Catalyst 4.1 driver. You'll take a serious frame rate hit if you do (it even has that in the list of known issues).

Don't use the USB port on the modem; use only the LAN port. Plug both computers into the switch on the BESFX41, and connect to the modem to the WAN port on the BEFSX41. Connect to the router's configuration page (from the computer that was using ethernet before) and go to "Advanced, MAC Clone," then ...

The entire book online...you have to like that, though I'll probably go buy it anyway.
1) You did smbpasswd -a username for everyone?
2) You can admin users = user1 user2 to each share to give "root" access to them.

Thanks for starting this thread! Because of this, I've really gotten into VB scripting. I made one at work to map all of our network printers, map all of the network drives (even "special" drives for only certain people), run a program over the network at logon (that checks to see if people have ...

I see someone finally uploaded the 1.44.8 firmware: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,6835803~root=equip,16~mode=flat . It isn't on Linksys' site, as the latest one there is 1.44; my router came loaded with 1.44.3. That makes a lot of sense, huh? Anyway, the DDNS function supposedly works with ...

BEFSX41 - Loopback?
This worked fine with my BEFSR41, but not with the BEFSX41. I can't tell if some things I'm hosting are working or not, as I can't connect to my WAN IP. I have firmware version 1.44.3; does anyone have a newer [beta] version than this? I've seen someone post about 1.44.8 elsewhere. Thanks.

I have read that many USB wireless connections do not work as well as PCI wireless connections
If dealing with 802.11b, you probably won't notice a difference. As a matter of fact, my Hawking USB wireless adapter works better than a Linksys PCI one. If you have 802.11g, then you definitely should ...

Someone told me that the problem is the MTU but i think that it's not the case because all PC have the value 1500
The problem could be your MTU is set too high. Try dropping it down to 1492. I had the web page (and email) problem with a Cisco 802 IDSL router. A nice Cisco tech figured it out for ...

If the second router doesn't have an uplink port, see if the first one does. If so, connect its uplink to a regular port on the second one. If neither has an uplink port, you'll need a crossover cable (available pretty much anywhere, Best Buy, Office Max, etc.) to connect the two switches (regular ...
