repartitioning Win2K?
I need to do some repartitioning on my HD, with Win2K Pro as my OS.
This is how I have it partitioned now:
C - 2.01 GB NFTS (1.79 GB used, 210 MB free)
E - 13.3 GB FAT32 (1,72 GB used, 11.5 GB free)
F - 13.3 GB FAT32 (7.07 GB used, 6.22 GB free)

Win2K questions
Anyone know how to clean up stuff in the start tray in Win2K, similar to what msconfig did in Win98?
Best way to defrag? I made my C drive NFTS but kept my other partitions at FAT 32. Thanks for any help.

product key problems
trying to reinstall win98se upgrade here, and it won't accept my product key for win98. I just reinstalled win98 just fine with that key, this is so bizarre. Is there anywhere in the registry I can look to find the key number? This pisses me off!

Thanks for posting the link, Kip. Interesting stuff. I'm still looking forward to the Ultraband deployment in my area, beginning this summer. As a current @Home subscriber, and having been a subscriber for over 2 years now, I must say they have frequent outages, and pretty poor customer service as a ...

I've done numerous speed/download tests with & without my Linksys BEFS41 router, and I have no appreciable difference. A lot of people have reported slowdowns with the Linky's though, guess I'm lucky for a change. Mine works great, I can be simultaneously downloading files on 3 computers at once and ...

You might want to try a different firmware version. If your download speeds are still that bad, and you verify that by just going straight from your cable modem to your NIC, then I would take the Linky back for exchange. The SMC Barricade is another good router. I use a Linksys and have no problems ...

Feedback on fixed wireless???
I'm looking for feedback on fixed wireless broadband systems...especially concerning reliability, speed, latency and packet loss issues, etc. I'm contemplating switching from @Home to Sprint Broadband basically because I am becoming fed up with the reliability and slowdown issues with @Home.
