there is supposed to be one missing? my new NEC isznt missing any...the reason why i thought maybe that was the issue is because when i try and use it everything is tinted red, but the on screen menu's colors are fine.

naw dude, sometimes there's a pin or two missing, i think it's ur tube..u can try to play w/ the monitor cable when it's plugged in (lift the vga cable itself up and stuff) to see if u can get the colors to change..if it does, ur cable is gone..if it doesn't then PROBABLY the tube..

My friends monitor has a bent pin, and we have to wiggle the connector to get it to stop having the same problem, cept his turns blue...

If the menu color is fibe there is something wrong with the cable . Open the plug and look for the wires . If there is one connected to a missing pin replace the plug , just make sure you wire it back correctly
So softly , so perfect , seemingly sleepingly
But for you , sleep , forever will do
Wish only to fight the urge
Beaten senselessly for your basic need
Sunken eyes around me ,
sunken spirits is what I see
Children , old beyond their day
