Are you kidding me. Doing 7 to 9 would be like money in the bank. Hollywood (Lucas or Not) will not give up an opportunity to make that kind of money.

They will be made.

Nope, Lucas said he's done after Ep. III...

Truthfully i think it would be KICK ass to go off of the novels made! The ones after REturn of the Jedi, they could anime it or something! Kinda like the FINAL FANTASY movie, since hte actors are getting up in age! I think that would be AWESOME, make some quality series like that! :D

I still say he'll be back. I mean what other style of movie is he going to do?

I still don't think it'll happen...he's made it abundantly clear on several occasions that when ep. III is in the can, the series is over with :(

I remember him saying that before too. Lucas is getting old and he said by the time that they were all finished he'd be WAY to old. Say like 2-3 years per film right? That's like 6-9 more years and the original actors are getting old for this.

I think if they did an anime style film it would kill the series...I think it would be a flop for the hardcore fans...just my opinion

They could digital recreate the original actors/actresses into the new movies without losing it's appeal.

but you could tell they were fake, unless they had a technological breakthrough.

As good as the graphics were for Jar Jar (for example) you could tell he was digitally created

I'd say it'd probably take 5 to 10 more years before CG animation gets to the sophistication it would require to convincingly portray a known real person...but I have given thought to this subject, and wouldn't be suprised to see digital recreations of dead actors on screen in our lifetime...imagine being able to see someone like John Wayne or Humphrey Bogart, or Marlyn Monroe in a completely new movie...

If that does happen, kiss the acting career to go BYE BYE. Why hire tempermental actors that require all this crap when you can just create one in anyway you want them to look and do anything you want them to do.

Even though Lucas never popped out with complete specifics, the last trilogy was supposed to take place many thousands of years after RoTJ. The only "actors' that would remain would be R2 and 3PO, making the series what it was more or less orignally supposed to be, a story about two droids and everything that happened around them (*cough* let's rip off The Hidden Fortress a little more here, why don't we? *cough*). :p

Yep...actually, since I started working for the cable company, I really don't watch all that much tv...if there's something I want to watch (movie-wise), I usually pick it up on dvd...and there are only a few shows on TV that are worth watching :D

It would be cool though if they did a 7 and it was the story of Leia becoming a Jedi

I still think they should make the Timothy Zahn books into a trilogy...
