i posted this in the general forum and got no answer so maybe you guys would know.
is there anyway to record a demo in half-life , i saw something @ [H] forums about playing a demo but they would not tell how to record one ?

Drop down the console. Type record blah.dem and it will record. To stop it type stop .dem

Hmm... the first description sucked, dunno about the linked file or whatever... but here is the commands...
record demonamehere.dem - start recording
stopdemo - stop recording
playdemo demonamehere.dem - play the demo
I've got more advanced commands for making the demo into a file which can be converted into an avi/divx/whateverthehellyouwant if you want that stuff too...

I've done 1 cs video and 1 dod video... it's fun to play with
but it's a time investment...
when you take the timedemo and do startmovie then timedemo agian, it will go ever so sloowly...
