Gigabyte mobos......pros cons

Post by AMPLIFRIER »

I got a Gigabyte GA7VTXE mobo with the VIA 266a chipset.

i run 3 operating systems and have yet to see a BSOD in any of them with the system i put together.
the thing is rock solid and i have ZERO regrets on the purchase.
Overclockin is really not an issue to me.......the 1.5gig xp does everything i want it to do as fast as i want it to.

only reason i ask is that, i hear almost zero talk about the gigabyte mobos.

i have 2 systems with gigabyte mobos in them and they both run smooth as silk.

i just want to hear some opinions...pos or neg about them......in the future....i will build another box......i just want some opinons to chew on as far as the mobos go.

thanks for the input

not truely bad to say about them, they have average quality. The only major qualm I have with the boards are the bios (update wise, they don't have the bios flash fail safe.) And it makes me wonder why their boards are so cheap in comparison to other bigger companies, where are they cutting short to save that cash? Lower grade PCB material? Lesser paid workers?
