IE listening on a UDP port

Post by andrewe77 »

Whenever I load IE now, it starts to listen on a random UDP port. Yahoo messenger does the same thing. I use Tiny firewall and had to change my rules to allow for it cause IE won't work without it!!! Why would this start all of the sudden?

Do you have IE auto-update installed? If so, that may be why.

Open an MSDOS Prompt window and type netstat -a

and as long as no connections from foreign IP's are shown, you are OK. (do this with IE closed)
