Well just installed the linklsys befsr41 4 port router to my DSL connection.
Followed the quick startup for pppoe and all up in running .

Ok Here where it get good
I have DSL wiht a dynamic IP. I have been running pesonal web server . I am using the TZO service. The service grabs my current IP and attaches it to my domain name.
bowtye8.tzo.com
This acts the same way as typing in the IP addy.
Ok trying to get my web server back online.
I tried to foward port 80. then assigning the ip addy. 192.168.1.100.
This will then allow my home page but not I guess then the rest of the sub names.
say I used to have
bowtye8.tzo.com/hovmovies
This would pull up a directory.
I can try that 191.168.1.100/hovmovies
Not shure if this will work. But is this safe
I dont understand that IP addy is that internal 191.168.1.100
and then the last number can only be from 0 to 255

My TZO service is still getting a IP but I guess its on the outside of the router.
Hope you all understand what I am trying todo.

I tried the 192.168.1.100/hovmovies

But since this is the default for linksys how can it get out to the net. Every linksys user has the default IP

If I try the bowtye8.tzo.com url I get the password promt.

Thats good the firewall is working .

Just has to let this addy thru
