Anyone familar with tweaking Counter-Strike read!!!

Hello,
I am pretty new here but I tweaked my modem on one of the other forums and it seemed to help a lot. But when I play Counter-Strike and check with net_graph 3 it says I am pinging between 30-60 but if I hold down tab it says I am pinging 90-100. What is wrong and is there anyway I can get a ping like that with tweaks? Thanks.

if you arent getting lag dont worry about it... a ping of 150 is not lag unless there are others lagging..

if that is the case find a new game.

Its not lagging at all, just want to know why its low in net_graph 3 but high when I check with TAB.

net_graph 3 shows your FPS (Frames per second) from your video card...It also shows how many kbytes you're sending and recieving...But not you're ping...So, you're mistaking your ping w/your FPS

Whats the difference between net_graph3 and net_graph 5 ?

net graph does show your ping right next to your fps. Also the number it is displaying is real time not an average like hitting the tab button. This is y its called NET_graph so you can monitor your network connection.

As I said before, It doesn't show your ping..Just FPS and how many KBytes your sending and recieving...Take a look

my netgraph says that my ping is about 80-85ms. it never exceeds 85 on the netgraph.
but when i press tab it says my ping is anywhere between 150-300 ms. it never goes below 150 on the tab status bar.

so this means that theres no way the tab bar is an average.
how could the average be 60-200ms worse than what it says im getting down below? something is screwed up....

I tried net_graph 5 on a LAN game and it didn't work..Maybe it only works on net games...I think that it must be that average that they show on the stats (tab) if it's slower than your net_graph 5's. Hehe, nice big 'ol shell flying out of the auto shotty btw

...And one question, is there a dedicated SG server?

theres no way it could be an average if the ping displayed down below in the netgraph never gets close to the ping displayed when you press tab....see what i mean?

net_graph 5 worked on a net game, i was getting 10-25 ms Pings, and seeing 40-55 pings on TAB...So I don't really know what's up with this..Kinda weird if you ask me

Hmm mine are always the same. Maybe cuz your ping fluctuates. If you spike to 50 for a few seconds here and there, your average is gonna go up.

If my netgraph is readin 30-40 as it does always on the server I play on, Tab is about 35.
