I'm using a DLink wireless router in the house for smartphone access only (no more laptops in the house). Under the Status tab in the DLink admin page there is a section titled "Lan Computers". There is one line item that I cannot account for and I'm not sure if this is a default behavior or it is something I need to address.

Example of the Table:
IP Address Name MAC
192.xxxxx Empty xxxxxxxxx
192.xxxxx phone xxxxxx
192.xxxxx phone xxxxxx
192.xxxxx My Comp xxxxxx

I can account for the 3 last entries but the first line item with no name (empty) is what I'm not sure about. It has an IP Address and Mac assigned but no name. Please let me know if you need any other info.

Could look up the MAC address at a MAC lookup site....at least see what brand it is and maybe that could give you some direction.

Does it ever reply if you ping it?
Run a network scanner?

What is the IP address it always gives it?

It's my freakin' TV! D'oh!

I just upgraded to IE 11 and now when I open my router web page it tells me to update my browser to a newer version and that some of the features of the web page may not work. Nothing works! The page opens but non of the hot spots work, D-Link DIR 655. About 2 months ago I confirmed I had the latest firmware version
