VPN Issue ~ Help Desperately Needed

Post by ldavis »

I connect to my office via a VPN as I am home based. Until recently I had no issues and the connection worked perfectly. Then my Belkin router stopped working and Belkin sent me a replacement of the exact same model. Stupidly I assumed that becasue it was the same model there would be no issues connecting, how wrong was I. I have tried speaking to Belkin about it and they were no use and my work IT group have said it is my issue and I am really stuck as to what to do.

Can anyone give me some suggestions as to how to resolve this issue?

Ensure the most recent firmware is installed on the router.
Check for any options regarding IPSec/LT2P/PPTP VPN passthrough are checked.

I've updated the firmware to a newer version but this has not made a difference. I've gone through all the options available when I go onto the router page and cannot find any mention of the points you discuss. I am trying to connect to a sonicwall VPN. Please any further suggestions gratefully received.
