Yeah, Avira really stood above the crowd in the on demand detection comparison, as well as proactive detection of new malware. A few more false positives than NOD and Microsoft kept it from that Advanced + rating though.

Microsofts antivirus is maturing.....it's new iteration to be released in a few months should be good...very good. To make it in the top 3 in this rating is impressive.

good results for sure... I'll still use Avast, never had it fail me yet. :thumb:

Avast's proactive detection seems improved as well, not at the top of the list, but the percent difference between it and the top choices is less than it has been.

Its speed also seems to be up.
