ok, i just got a credit increase so im buying a tbird 900 and an asus or an abit mobo. my questions are as follows....what cooling should i use..i want the best possoble cooling i can get..something that will keep this ice cold ;). nothing kryotech like just a heatsink and fan will do... and...i havent been able to find this info anywheres..does the abit board increase bus speed from bios via 1mhz increments like the asus?? i really like that about the asus, in case of oc'ing :)...

thanx for everything guys

OK, when you get your CPU, do not get a cheap OEM HSF with it! (IE Coolermaster). Get AT LEAST a chrome orb. I'd recommend a GlobalWin FOP 32 or 38 (38 being the best and loudest Socket A HSF IMO). The best possible set up is water cooling.

Have either good case circulation or your sides off.

I'm prety sure the Abit does 1MHz incremnets like the Asus board. If you do get Asus, make sure you get one with DIP switches. If you wanna save money, get a 600-700 Duron and o/c to over 900. you can get 1000MHz out of those Durons...

To get your pic to show up, you have to edit your message after each post. The Images have been removed by Philip and this is a bug...hehe :)

It's easier with the Abit. Everything is jumperless. With the Asus, you have to play with the DIP switches...both have their afvantages...

I highly recommend watercooling cuz itz bout the same price as a good heatsink. You can get a waterblock for round 20bux and a pump for another 20 at your local store. check out this kool site: www.overclock-watercool.com I have watercooling myself 'n I can't say enuff good things about it. All those fans buzzing around makez me crazy.

get the Abit KT7 mobo, itz got some feature that can lower mobo temp, i forgot what. Check out the review at www.hardocp.com
