scanner incompatibility with vista

Post by 9mmprincess »

I have an HP Scanjet 5200 C. there is no driver for it and furthermore, HP informs me they have no plans to write one. Which really sucks, as that scanner is awesome and still works fine despite being a bit old.

Does anyone know of a workaround? I have googled to no avail.
There is security in fearlessness.

People really should do a little bit of homework before upgrading to Vista.

It can be a pain, indeed (the lack of driver support -- I'm running x64, just because).

Yeah if amro's ideas dont work, dont except HP to save the day.

We are sorry to inform you that there will be no Windows Vista support available for your HP product. Therefore your product will not work with Windows Vista.
The majority of HP products not supported in Windows Vista are beyond seven years old.
If you are using the Windows Vista operating system on your computer, please consider upgrading to a newer HP product that is supported on Windows Vista.
