To use or not to use the on-board NIC on the A7N8X

Post by Think »

I've had the 3com 905tx PCI NIC card for sometime but was wondering if I should utilize it on the A7N8x deluxe; or just use the 3com that it has built in?

The Asus A7N8X Deluxe has 2 LAN connections built onto the board:

MCP integrated NVIDIA MAC + Realtek 8201BL PHY
MCP integrated 3Com Mac + BroadCom AC101L PHY

im using the Nvidia one right now and its not to shabby. My pages open up instantly, and i get my normal 3000+ downstream and my 250+ upstream ;)

And i hear it uses less resources than the 3com
