you only use splitter for multiple connections such as multiple modems/cableboxes not one you want your cable coming direct to your modem

some cable modem are stricly ethernet you gotta make sure the modem you have is activated you have to tell time warner all the info like the mac adess number wich is about series of of numbers and they send a special file to you modem to set it up

you have to make sure all your setting are right make sure your mtu is set at 1500 and also you might wanna call your isp and btw if you realy wanna know you should read books and or websites that tell how computers work and internet works

no just becuz it says it disabled it actulay enable microsoft dont want you to know about it you actualy need to clik on enable then taek alook at the % its at its the same way on mine it disabled but windows has configured it hardcore in system u need to do what first post tells you to disable it

its doing it again i dont know if this modem has a config page like my last i was led to beiliev it did but only the cable company has access to it its a motorola sb5101 modem surfboard inless i use the same ip adress as my last one the loopback ip i mean and not sure what passward to use

i think my connection is fixed im getting 6.3mb on speedtest.net reccamended server other servers were below 2mb on dowload speed watch me get up tomarrow and see my speed back to being slow again so i hope this means its fixed so i wonder if i should keep the service call from timewarner
