my cable modem dissconnects all the time?

i had time warnercome out at least 3 times for the same problem and they tell me everything is fine could it be my computer causing my modem to reboot itself preodicaly???

the cable guy allready did that he did sevral long tracerts and other operationts to see if im loosing packets and he even checked on the modems login page for singnal rate and everything everything is fine i have a motorola surfboard modem model sb5101 i own it its not rented from tw

replace the network cables to the modem keep the modem off for about 10mins to 20 mins off per day move the modem away from other devices. Update the netwrok card drivers as well.

Is the computer dropping on certain games servers ,or just in general if you can run a few tracerts after the power cycle of the mdem post them back here

i cant uninstall my card physicaly its built in motherboard cable guy told me if your computer has alot of problem like my system wont turn on somtimes my power supply is unresponsive when i press the cases power button the system will actualy turn itself on 10 mins later after i press it i herd it could be sevral things power supply is old its over 3 years i built the system 3 years ago its running amd 64fx 55 2.6ghz 1 gig of ram gigabyte motherboard 300 gig sata harddrive 550 watt power supply by antec thermaltake case its the armor case i smell some burnt smell by the power supply area in the back im fixing to build another system im getting an amd phenom gigabyte motherboard bundle pack with 4 gigs of ram for 480 bucks then ill will buy an radeon 3870x2 at least one but i can only buy lil by lil i will even have to buy another monitor is 1920by1200 better/higher than 1920by1080?

what he ment by removing the card is goto device manager and click unistall windows should plug n play the device that way it will help reset the settings.

try replacing the network cable to the modem as well if you got a spare leave the modem off for about 20 mins your hop one is kinda off 9ms to the modem usually means bad cable ,bad modem somthing in the wirring bad nic etc etc..
