Anyone own a Linksys WRT54GL?

I am planning on picking one of these up in the next few days since my current router drops my internet connection while doing P2P connections. I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on a 3rd part FW to use for this.

Firewall Help

I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 and I was wondering how to set it up for the best security.

Block WAN Request:
Multicast Pass Through:
IPSec Pass Through:
PPTP Pass Through:

Should I enable these or disable these?

Also, are there any ports I should filter or close on my router?

I don't play the other games but I do play CS. You might not have the right rates in your config. I used to get huge lag spikes and nasty choke cause I played around with my rates to much. There are three pretty important ones to play with.

Here are my current settings:

Cablenut | 2 different Comps

I have the TCPOptimizer installed already so should I also use Cablenut as well?

I have DSL (not PPPoE) 1.5 / 128

1st system Win 98SE

2nd XP Home

Those are my two comps, if you have the settings for these two I would be much obliged.

UPDATE

Well I finally figured out my problem. My config files for Halflife weren't correct. My rates and things were not correct and it caused extreme lag when playing. Here I thought my router sucked all this time. Thanks for taking the time to try and help me though, I appreciate it. :)

Right now I use a direct connection. Neither comp is using the wireless feature and I also have it disabled at the moment.

It is more or less the huge lag spikes I experience when playing online. Our pings shoot up anywhere from 200 - 400 which shouldn't be happening. I am just trying to figure out ...

Yeah it says in the manual that it uses NAT and TCP/IP port inspections. I know there probably isn't a way, but is it possible to disable this and see if this is possibly my problem?

You also might try setting the cl_lw to 0 instead of 1. It shows where bullets actually hit and works really well if you are on a server where you ping well.

#1: In your config look for the following entrys:

cl_lw "1"
cl_lc "1"

If they are set to 0, make sure they are set to 1.

Next in your config file find these and set to the following:
