Nope, that doesn't do anything. The same files in the old version of Media Player never had a problem. Always showed 352x240 or 352x288 etc, etc..

Is it no longer possible to get the properties of MPEG files using the latest Media Player. The old version used to show 352 x 240 etc? I choose properties, and it won't show that.

Those are the real speeds since the changeover.
The speeds for downloads used to be much higher.
But that now is just a distant memory.

I guess I'm leaning towards sticking with ATT.
Still on the fence tho. 2Megabits a sec bi directional sounds nice.
They are actually cheaper than AT&T in some cases, but I guess actually having speeds like that would be unlikely.

Saw a post of another Chicagoan recently. So I know alot of us are in the same boat. I was curious if anyone could recommend any broadband options in the Chicago-area with faster downstream speeds then ATTBI? (currently gettin 150k\sec or so)

I actually was on @home for about a year.
Not one service outage during that time.

I woke up this morning, and found that my connection had gone out sometime this morning. It remained out for several hours into the afternoon. Anybody else experiencing this today?

I long for the old days, never experienced anything like this.

Well, if you can't live with those speeds. My advice is to start looking for another ISP now. ATT has made no reference that they will be alotting extra downstream bandwith in the future. These are the set caps of their new network.

Can anyone recommend any other high speed internet options other than @home (attbi) for the suburbs of Chicago?

I find the downstream after the network switch to attbi - to be extremely limiting. (150k\s) My previous cap had been 500k\s)
Now things that would take an hour or so to download ...

I'm also looking into Earthlink DSL as an option.
What is your downstream like on their service?

I know what is advertised, but what have your experiences been like?
