attbi service in Chicago area

Hello All,
I was just wondering if anyone in the Chicago area has found any tweaks/patches to help increase their download speed with the att "broadband" internet connection.

I have donloaded the Cablenut program, the Speedguide patches, the Optimizer, everything. I'm still getting average download speeds of 150 KB/sec. I used to get 450 KB/sec with the @home service.

Any ideas?

ATTBI is capped at 1.5mbps and there's nothing you can do about it. Nothing. Nada. Nyet. No tweaks on the planet will get you any faster than the cap. The only way around it is though another service.

No tweaks.. that is your new maximum download.
Get used to it, or seek out a new provider.
There's alot of people in the same boat.

Anyone recommend Chicago area providers with better download speeds than ATTBI?
