Under WiFi features, you have listed; Access point, Wireless client, Wireless bridge. I do not believe the WRT54GS can act as a Wireless client nor Wireless bridge. Linksys tech support states that it cannot be.

It can act as wireless client and bridge, however only with third party firmware. Thanks for noticing this :)

But, Is true that it works in wireless client or bridge mode only with another " LINKSYS " wireless G access point? Can it work also with another generic access point G ?
by anonymous - 2007.10.09 13:16
Linksys is on version 7. Since version 5 you can not use third party firmware and the features it brings. Speed boost only works if all clients support 108M or 125M rate. They do not need to all be Linksys brand client devices.
