Can u help me with my ICS pls
I have a internet cafe. With 9 computers connected as workgroup. 1 of them is my server which i use to control my other workstations. Now my problem is i cant optimize my internet connection. Ive tried using TCP Optimizer, Dr. TCP, and it optimizes my Internet connection a bit. Ive found a program called CableNut so i disable TCP optimizer and Dr. TCP in my computers, it seem to work fine but the problem is when i run speed test my upload speed is very low, and other computers on my network are having problems while playing online games such as HON.
Sorry for my poor English. By the way i'm from Philippines, and i have some knowledge about editing registry.
Your help will be my appreciated. Thanks for this site.

what does it mean?
also i my ISP said that i have 1mbps connection speed.
Ive done some researching on other internet cafe's and 1 of them have a very fast Internet connection but he paid only for 1mbps he said.
Is that possible to tweak like what he does. coz his internet browsing and online games are very smooth and you tube loads very fast. What Software Optimizer should i use.
Please i really need your help. Im out of idea on what to do.

How to read tracert :
Hop 1 : shows signals between modem & PC, It should be là 1ms 1ms 1ms ! Higher or occur * or Request timed out=> not good !
Hop 2: shows signals between modem & ISP It should range from 10 to 40 ms ! Higher or occur * or Request timed out => not good
From Hop 3 to trace complete : ISP Network Signals, * or Request timed out => Not Good
How to fix Hop 1 & 2 issue :
+Turn off modem/router for 10 minutes, relocate them to some place that are a few feet away from ALL other electrical devices, including apart from each other. Also, make sure you do not coil up any excess length of signal or power cables.
Then do a tracert again ! Hope this helps !
If not :
Do a full scan for malware/spyware with :
Ad-aware
Spybot Search & Destroy
Superantispyware

What makes you: "...waking up in the morning so excited about & wanna FLY out of the door ?"
Thank you for quick response. I will do what you suggest. Is that possible to tweak upload speed?. Is there any way that i can optimize my internet connection with my workgroup?. And if there is, can it optimize my online gaming and internet surfing?. Thank you for your reply it really helps me a lot.

Try the following with TCP Optimizer: General Settings tab: Custom settings - check
This is my speed test result after doing what you suggest. And putting the connection speed in TCP Optimizer to 768 Kbps.

Looks like my internet speed becomes slower. I'll try to change the TCP Optimizer connection speed to 1024 Kbps, and i'll post the results right away. By the way, should i configure my other computers TCP Optimizer and CableNut too?. Thanks for all the help.

It seems that my speed becomes slower when all the other networked computers are using internet connection. What should i do to make the other computers on my network run the same speed as mine. Should i install CableNut for all of my other computers and make the same adjustments?.
The more computers that are sharing an internet connection....the slower it is for each computer when they're all on and active. Each computer (when turned on) is causing more traffic on the connection. So naturally there's a sharing of that bandwidth. The more computers on a set connection..the less allocated "per" computer.
Now...Windows ICS is not the ideal solution. You want, at the least, a hardware broadband router that has really good QoS. QoS = quality of service. This more evenly distributes the bandwidth, and makes sure no 1 computer can hog the entire connection.
For internet cafes...you can find quite a bit of portal software to allow you to control PCs, time spent, help w/billing, allocate bandwidth, etc.
Naturally we're going to suggest the SG TCP Optimizer over Cablenut...after all, this is Speedguide.Net, and the TCP Optimizer is this sites product, Cablenut is someone elses product from another website.

I don't understand what else you need.. you told us you have a 1Mb/s download and yet your getting right at that. You can't get much more than you pay for unless the ISP is bursting much like some cable companies do.mataps wrote:Please I really need help from you guys. Please i'm waiting for your replies.
You should just forget trying to tweak your TCP/IP stack at this point since it all looks fine. You should either concentrate on buying a faster internet package if possible and/or just fool with some browser tweaks cause your not going to see a miracle boost over what you currently subscribe to.
What i really want is the consistency of my download and upload speed. I've seen a guy that manages to do this in his cafe with 20 computers(all using the internet with no lags in gaming) and paying only 1Mbps.Sava700 wrote:I don't understand what else you need.. you told us you have a 1Mb/s download and yet your getting right at that. I think what he does is not a miracle. I've already talked with him and ask some advice but he won't give any.
I hope you guys can help me.

delete the red values and change the opendns in blue values to google dns, for better browsing (8.8.8.8. - 8.8.4.4). Note that the increase values in your tracert, after the 7th hop, is your isp's congestion problemsmataps wrote:This is my HijackThis Result

Still the same result above. No change in my RWIN. Why is this happening?. Do u have any idea?
Im confused about the results of TCP Analizer. I tried using TCP Optimizer on one of my workstations and here is the result.

That's nothing to worry about.. most likely the machine is up and responding, but for whatever reason it did not respond to the second and third packets. This does not necessarily mean there is a problem but otherwise it is usually normal, and just means that the system discarded the packet for some reason.mataps wrote:by the way dude. How to read the #9 hop in tracert. coz it says requested timeout?
